Immediately after the treatment your skin will feel hot and tight with slight swelling.
The numbing feeling due to the numbing cream will last around 2-3 hours after the treatment. The lips mainly will feel numb.

For most people it will be between 3-5treatments every 4 weeks. Depending on your skin concern, say if it is acne scarring it will take at least 4-5 treatments. Whereas if you are just looking to plump the skin and improve skin texture and pores 3-4 treatments will be required.
We recommend to allow 5 days for your skin to completely heal post treatment. After micro needling your skin will be red, hot and slightly swollen. This can last for 24 hours post treatment. On day 2 – 3 your skin will feel dry and rough to touch it is important to keep hydrated and have a good quality moisturiser.
Either in our micro needling package or stand alone treatment a post facial is included as it give us a change to see your skin after treatment and your skin by day 5 is looking dry and dull. So this gets your skin looking its best again.
It can be slightly comfortable in some areas, we do numb the skin 40 mins prior to treatment to make it as comfortable as possible. However, depending on your pain threshold it can vary for each person.
The concept of how they work is the same, they both use needles to puncture the skin to promote new tissue and collagen growth. However, the way they are different is that dermapen just uses needles to glide over the skin the depth can go to 2mm. As for micro needling rf the needles penetrate the skin and as it does that it delivers a heat into the tissues which stimulates collagen in the dermis. The depth can go to 3.5mm which is great for deeper acne scarring.
